43 and Grounded

My cocktail has taken many forms, but I knew from the beginning I wanted to utilize Garam Marsala because It came to me in a dream. I had to add the out-of-the-ordinary spice to the cocktail.


  • 30 Ml. Licor 43 Original
  • 45 Ml. Avion 44 Extra Anejo Tequila
  • 23 Ml. Ethiopian Coffee
  • 30 Ml. Apple Cider
  • 30 Ml. Mascarpone Cheese
  • 5 Dashes Peychauds Bitters


Cocktail Preparation
  • Add all ingredients into the shaker
  • Shake vigorously for 10 seconds
  • Strain into a coupe
  • Sprinkle about 1.5 teaspoon of Garam Marsala over the top
  • Express an orange peel over the top of the cocktail and rub around the rim
Coffee Preparation
  • Grind Ethiopian coffee beans
  • Add to a filter and brew hot water over it to make a cup of Ethiopian coffee
