Cocktail Inspiration

Amor Cortes, or Court of Love, were medieval “courts” or concepts of love outside marriage as a contract. The idea highlighted chivalry and nobility in love. It was prevalent in Western Europe, such as Spain. The cocktail uses Amaretto, Licor 43, Anis and Rose Water to symbolise notes of love and beauty in a medieval Court of Love.

Ingredients

  • 60 Ml. Licor 43 Original
  • 90 Ml. Cold Brew
  • 30 Ml. Disaronno Velvet Cream Liqueur
  • 7 Ml. Anis Liqueur
  • 10 Dashes Rose Water
  • 1 Drops Dried Rose Petals

Method

Cocktail Preparation
  • Add 90ml Cold Brew to shaker
  • Add 7ml Anis Liqueur to shaker
  • Add 30ml Disaronno Velvet Cream to shaker
  • Add 60 ml Licor 43 to shaker
  • Add ice and shake for 10 seconds
  • Pour over ice into rocks glass
  • Garnish with dried rose petals
Coffee Preparation
  • Grind 70g coffee beans
  • Add coffee to 1kg of water
  • Let steep for 12 hours
  • Filter through coffee filter and strainer
  • Refrigerate until chilled
