I am a relative newcomer in the professional bartending space, with only a year and a half of experience. But, in my short time, I rose to being a head bartender and revamped a cocktail program.
Cocktail Inspiration
Chocolate covered beets and oranges
Ingredients
- 45 Ml. Licor 43 Original
- 60 Ml. Stumptown cold brew coffee
- 40 Ml. Natalies beet and orange juice
- 30 Ml. 100proof rye whiskey
- 22 Ml. fresh lemon juice
- 2 Dashes Scrappy's cardamom bitters
Method
Cocktail Preparation
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker.
- Add ice and hard shake for 8-10seconds.
- Double strain over ice into a double rocks glass.
- Garnish with a dried blood orange slice.
Coffee Preparation
- Add stumptown coarse ground coffee to a cold brew maker in a 1:5 coffee:water ratio by weight.
- Let macerate for 18-20hrs and then strain.
- Dilute the concentrate with 2:1 water:coffee by weight.
- Alternatively, purchase a bottle of premade Stumptown cold brew coffee.
