I hrew uo camping and hunting in the missouri woods. Cowboy coffee was brewed daily in the traditional method of using coarse ground, dark roasted beans and boiling them directly over fire.

Cocktail Inspiration

Traditional cowboy coffee

Ingredients

  • 30 Ml. Licor 43 Original
  • 6 Oz. Drip coffee
  • 2 Oz. American burbon whiskey
  • 3 Dashes Cardamom bitters

Method

Cocktail Preparation
  • Add coffee to mug
  • Pour in licor 43
  • Pour in burbon whiskey
  • Add 3 dash cardamom bitters
  • Stir with no ice as to keep hot.
Coffee Preparation
  • Grind dark roasted beans as course as possible
  • Add 4 tbs of grounds to pour over filter
  • Boil water until at least 200 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Immediately pour 6 oz of water over the grinds directly to allow grounds to become thick and saturated with boiling water
  • Allow coffee to.filter directly into glass mug
