I own and work at a cocktail lounge that has an espresso service in the morning. Relaxed atmosphere and good drinks are my biggest passion, alcoholic and non. Always trying to learn more about both coffee and cocktails.

Cocktail Inspiration

I wanted to capture the marshmallow-like texture of nitro coffee while keeping the complex flavors of espresso. I love having orange with my espresso and the orange zest here really lightens up what could be a very rich drink.

Ingredients

  • 30 Ml. Licor 43 Original
  • 10 Ml. Mr. Black
  • 10 Ml. Simple syrup
  • 3 Drops Saline
  • 2 Dashes Orange bitters
  • 80 Ml. Ice
  • 60 Ml. Espresso shot

Method

Cocktail Preparation
  • Pull espresso shot
  • Pour all ingredients into a milk frothing pitcher.
  • Using the espresso machine steam wand froth and steam the ingredients just until the ice is almost melted
  • Pour into coup glass. Garnish with orange zest, expressing over the top
