I found my passion for cocktails after trying an Old Fashioned. Inspired by books and online resources, I combined my love for mixology and coffee, leading to my role as a mixologist and barista.
Cocktail Inspiration
Evan Essence merges Evan Williams and Licor 43- harmonizing caramel- toffee and nutty flavors for an exceptional blend
Ingredients
- 15 Ml. Licor 43 Original
- 30 Ml. Espresso (Chiapas, medium roast, Arabica, 18g beans to 30g yield)
- 30 Ml. Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon 100 Proof
- 22 Ml. Almond Orgeat
- 2 Dashes Fee Brothers Black Walnut Bitters
- 3 Drops Saline Solution (80-20)
Method
Cocktail Preparation
- Add ice to a Martini glass to chill.
- Add all ingredients in a Boston shaker.
- Add ice and shake for about 15 seconds.
- Remove the ice from the martini glass.
- Double strain the content from the shaker into the previous chilled martini glass.
- Garnish with 3 sliced almonds.
Coffee Preparation
- Beans: Alma Maya from Chiapas, medium roast, Arabica, 18 grams.
- Weigh 18 grams coffee beans, grind finely, tamp firmly.
- Brew at 96 degrees and 9psi during 25 seconds, yielding 35 grams of espresso.
