I met carajillo on a trip to Mexico, I also tried it in CR, but its flavors were very sweet and citrusy.
That’s where the idea of doing it only with crushed ice was born.
Cocktail Inspiration
Carajillo, without orange peels or additional sugar
Ingredients
- 60 Ml. Licor 43 Original
- 58 Ml. Espresso Shot
Method
Cocktail Preparation
- Make a double espresso with the best coffee, from Costa Rica
- Crush ice and add it to the mixer, add 60 ml of liqueur 43 and 60 ml of espresso
- Shake hard and fast, use a cloth, the mixer can get very cold
- Shake until the sound of the mixer changes
- Serve in a double walled mug
Coffee Preparation
- Grind 30 g of coffee
- Remove lumps, levels and mash
- Extract for 30 s, 60 ml of coffee
