This drink combines familiar flavors from my childhood with my abuela – coffee, banana, and tequila – with the rich, velvety sweetness of Licor 43. The result is a rich, decadent, comforting cocktail.

Ingredients

• 15 Ml. Licor 43 Original
• 15 Ml. Espresso
• 30 Ml. Lunazul Reposado Tequila
• 7 Ml. Sweet Red Vermouth
• 2 Dashes Saline
• 2 Dashes Orange Bitters

Method

Cocktail Preparation

• Combine all ingredients minus the espresso in a mixing glass
• Stir at least 30 rotations
• Add in espresso
• Strain into chilled Nick and Nora glass
• Express orange peel and twist, rub outside of peel around the rim of the glass and place on the rim as a garnish

Coffee Preparation

• Brew espresso - water used should be 90 degrees celsius
• 30 second extraction time
• Allow espresso to cool completely before use in cocktail
