I love the process of creating a balanced cocktail. Licor 43 and coffee are a natural match and I wanted to set myself apart from the crowd by making a Tiki-inspired cocktail called Night Owl.


  • 15 Ml. Licor 43 Original
  • 45 Ml. Dark Rum
  • 30 Ml. Cold Brew Espresso Concentrate
  • 15 Ml. Ginger Syrup
  • 15 Ml. Lime Juice


Cocktail Preparation
  • In a shaker tin, combine all ingredients.
  • Add ice to shaker tin and shake for 10 seconds.
  • Strain into Tiki glass.
  • Add ice and garnish with candied ginger.
  • Serve with short straw.
Coffee Preparation
  • In a 32oz mason jar, combine 1 cup coarsely ground dark roasted coffee beans with 3 cups of cool water.
  • Stir until grounds and coffee are mixed thoroughly.
  • Screw on lid to mason jar and let coffee and water mixture sit for 12 hours.
  • Strain using a mesh strainer and coffee filter. Discard coffee grounds and filter.
  • Keep brewed coffee for cocktail recipe.
