
Orange Blossom 43

Inspired by my wedding cake, this is the first cocktail I have ever created for a contest. I thought it would be a fun way to expand my skills and knowledge.
Ingredients
- 30 Ml. Licor 43 Original
- 90 Ml. Coffee, Costa Rica Tarrazu, cold brew method
- 15 Ml. Orange liqueur
- 5 Dashes Orange bitters
- 30 Ml. Heavy cream
- 5 Ml. Orange zest, freshly grated
Method
Cocktail Preparation
- Add 30ml heavy cream to a small bowl and lightly whip
- In a mixing glass filled a quarter way with ice, add coffee, Licor 43, orange liqueur and orange bitters. Stir until chilled.
- Strain cocktail into a martini glass, and float the lightly whipped heavy cream on top of the drink.
- Garnish with freshly grated orange zest.
Coffee Preparation
- Add 42 grams freshly ground Costa Rica Tarrazu coffee to a glass jar with 500ml of room temperature water, then stir to combine.
- Place lid on jar and refrigerate for 21 hours.
- Strain coffee through a sieve, lined with a damp paper towel, into a clean jar, and keep refrigerated.
- Makes 375ml of cold brew coffee.
