Spiced rum is one of my favorite spirits and Chairman’s Reserve is the best in my opinion.
I’ve been bartending for almost 3 years at Pearl Diver and working at a tropical lounge bar that specializes is Rum has been so inspiring to me.

Cocktail Inspiration

My inspiration for this cocktail came from my recent trip to California and love for rum. I wanted to incorporate tropical flavors with the classic idea of espresso martinis.

Ingredients

  • 15 Ml. Licor 43 Original
  • 37 Ml. Chairmans Reserve Spiced Rum
  • 15 Ml. Fugit Crème de Banane
  • 22 Ml. Cold Brew
  • 2 Dashes Cocoa Bitters

Method

Cocktail Preparation
  • Add all ingredients to a Boston shaker
  • Add ice and shake until ingredients are incorporated
  • Strain into a Nick and Nora glass
  • Express with grapefruit peel and discard peel
Coffee Preparation
  • Coarsely grind desired coffee beans. (I used a local Brazilian blend)
  • Add 1 cup of ground coffee to 4 cups of water
  • Combine coffee with the water and let steep for 15 hours.
  • After steeping, fine strain mixture
