I work at a beach bar in Hawaii. The beautiful weather lends itself to brunch and poolside cocktails over a wild nightlife. My aim was to create a drink that matches the vibes of a sunny afternoon.
Ingredients
- 45 Ml. Licor 43 Original
- 60 Ml. Watermelon juice infused cold brew
- 15 Ml. Casamigos Anjeo Tequila
- 8 Ml. Fresh lime juice
Method
Cocktail Preparation
- Prepare tools and products- shaker tin, jigger, hawthorn strainer, mesh strainer, and Licor 43, Tequila, Watermelon cold brew, lime, watermelon garnish slices, ice
- Add 45ml of Licor 43 to shaker tin
- Add 15ml Casamigos Anjeo Tequila to tin
- Add 60ml Watermelon infused cold brew coffee to tin
- Add 8ml Fresh lime juice to tin
- Add Ice- large cubes
- Shake vigorously for 15 seconds
- Stain the cocktail using a hawthorn and mesh strainer into a couple glass
- Garnish with a watermelon slice
- Enjoy
Coffee Preparation
- Measure 60ml course ground Kauai Arabic coffee grounds
- Juice half a watermelon and strain - Use coffee filter for a clean texture
- Measure 240 oz of strained watermelon juice and 480ml room temperature filtered water
- Pour juice and water over cold brew
- Add a pinch of salt
- Store in the refrigerator for 14 hours
- Strain coffee
- Stir and treat yourself to a little taste- pre cocktail
