Poolside

I work at a beach bar in Hawaii. The beautiful weather lends itself to brunch and poolside cocktails over a wild nightlife. My aim was to create a drink that matches the vibes of a sunny afternoon.

Ingredients

  • 45 Ml. Licor 43 Original
  • 60 Ml. Watermelon juice infused cold brew
  • 15 Ml. Casamigos Anjeo Tequila
  • 8 Ml. Fresh lime juice

Method

Cocktail Preparation
  • Prepare tools and products- shaker tin, jigger, hawthorn strainer, mesh strainer, and Licor 43, Tequila, Watermelon cold brew, lime, watermelon garnish slices, ice
  • Add 45ml of Licor 43 to shaker tin
  • Add 15ml Casamigos Anjeo Tequila to tin
  • Add 60ml Watermelon infused cold brew coffee to tin
  • Add 8ml Fresh lime juice to tin
  • Add Ice- large cubes
  • Shake vigorously for 15 seconds
  • Stain the cocktail using a hawthorn and mesh strainer into a couple glass
  • Garnish with a watermelon slice
  • Enjoy
Coffee Preparation
  • Measure 60ml course ground Kauai Arabic coffee grounds
  • Juice half a watermelon and strain - Use coffee filter for a clean texture
  • Measure 240 oz of strained watermelon juice and 480ml room temperature filtered water
  • Pour juice and water over cold brew
  • Add a pinch of salt
  • Store in the refrigerator for 14 hours
  • Strain coffee
  • Stir and treat yourself to a little taste- pre cocktail
