I am a barista who dabbles in making coffee mocktails and wanted to challenge myself and make an actual cocktail!

Cocktail Inspiration

The inspiration for this drink is my hometown, San Diego. The city itself, the weather, the coffee culture, and the innovation.

Ingredients

  • 30 Ml. Licor 43 Original
  • 2 Oz. Flash Brew
  • 45 Ml. Fresh-squeezed Orange juice
  • 1 Oz. Bourbon
  • 15 Ml. Orgeat syrup

Method

Cocktail Preparation
  • Pour 2 oz. Flash brew in shaker tin
  • Add 1.5 oz. freshly squeezed orange juice
  • Add 1 oz. Licor 43
  • Add 1 oz. Bourbon
  • Shake with ice
  • Pour into chilled glass
  • Top with Amarena cherry
Coffee Preparation
  • 20g of medium-coarse ground coffee into v60
  • 150g of water into decanter
  • Place v60 on top of decanter
  • Tare scale
  • Pour 50g of 205F water and bloom for 30 seconds
  • Pour 50g of water (hit the 100g mark) allow for up to 15 second draw down
  • Pour 50g of water (hit the 150g mark) allow for up to 15 second draw down
  • Pour 50g of water (hit the 200g mark) allow for up to 15 second draw down
  • Complete draw down
