A tornado touched down near Yukon Oklahoma last night. Growing up in Oklahoma tornadoes are a huge part of our culture. When one gets close do we take shelter? No, we sit outside and watch them swirl by.

Cocktail Inspiration

When I was building this cocktail I was aiming for a drink I’d want to have sitting on my porch during tornado season, something sweet and bitter, but also containing caffeine in case you need to stay up late watching the weather

Ingredients

• 22 Ml. Licor 43 Original
• 7 Ml. Cold brew coffee
• 30 Ml. Suerte Reposado
• 15 Ml. El Buho Mezcal
• 7 Ml. Georges Spiced pear liqueur
• 7 Ml. Georges Nola coffee liqueur
• 7 Ml. Averna

Method

Cocktail Preparation

• Add all ingredients into a beaker with ice and stir
• Strain over a big rock in a rocks glass
• Orange expression and garnish with a orange coin

Coffee Preparation

• In a container combine 2 gallons of water and 2 pounds of dark roast coffee grounds
