Cocktail Inspiration

My late Dad and his early morning Cigar with Coffee

Ingredients

  • 30 Ml. Licor 43 Original
  • 30 Ml. John Barr Blended Scotch
  • 15 Ml. Espresso (Basecamp beans from Summit Coffee)
  • 7 Ml. Maple Syrup
  • 7 Ml. Pooter Smoke and Salt Bitters
  • 3 Dashes Scrappy's Black Lemon Bitters

Method

Cocktail Preparation
  • Add all ingredients into Boston Shaker
  • Shake with Ice for approx. 15-18 Seconds or until aerated
  • Double Strain into a chilled Nick and Nora glass
  • Peel Orange, Express peel over cocktail
  • Garnish with nicely cut Orange Peel
Coffee Preparation
  • Grind coffee beans on a fine setting to utilize the espresso extraction method.
  • Input 18g of finely ground coffee beans into a portafilter and place in the espresso machine
  • Extract an output of 37.5g of espresso in approx. 30 seconds at 200 degrees
