Cartagena, Spain is the birthplace of Licor 43, making it the perfect setting for our incredible Global Final. For the first time ever, we'll be joined by our inspirational previous finalists: and that's just the beginning. This year's participants should expect the unexpected, with even more exciting surprises planned along the way.
Embrace the vibrant spirit of Cartagena, as this year's Global Final takes place at the same time as the unmissable Carthaginian and Roman festival. Our story dates back to the ancient days recreated in these festivities, when the Carthaginians crafted a delicious golden elixir known as Liqvor Mirabilis using local fruits and botanicals. The conquering Romans banned this aromatic liquid, but the Carthaginians continued to drink it in secret, handing the recipe down from generation to generation – and ultimately surviving to inspire Licor 43's recipe today.
