The Prize
Claim your spot as one of the world’s best bartenders or baristas. You’ll win a flight, tickets and hotel accommodation for two BCB fairs, worth up to €5,000 International media coverage worth €1,000. You’ll also share your expertise as part of the global jury for the 2025 competition, and be invited to international events throughout 2024 as a Licor 43 guest bartender.
*The prize must be spent on professional courses or equipment.
Terms & conditions
The Jury
You will have to prepare your cocktail in front of 4 internationally renowned jury members who will evaluate your creation on taste, presentation and creativity.
MERIJN GIJSBERS
International Barista champion, trainer and consultant for his company Het Koffiegenootschap and in addition as Alpro’s in-house barista. Merijn has been working with coffee for over 10 years, meeting new and inspirational people along the way.
IAIN MCPHERSON
Innovator of the Year at the 2024 Class Bar Awards and No. 3 on the “Bar World 100” list. Owner of Panda & Sons – winner of Best Cocktail Menu of the Year and No. 39 on The World’s 50 Best Bars list. In 2018, he introduced the “Switching” technique.
CHRIS LEAVITT
Known as @notjustabartender on Social Media (almost 400k followers on Instagram), Chris is a well-known content creator & bartender based in the US who has worked in the hospitality sector almost half his life.
GABRIELA WONG
Gabriela won Licor 43’s Bartender & Barista Challenge 2023, representing Costa Rica in last year’s edition with her cocktail ‘Capital Vice’, inspired by the seven sins. Gabriela is also the owner of Liquid Spirits CR.
